Our story
St. Aidan's Institute is a distinguished branch of the Center for Theological Leadership Training (CTLT) and a ministry of the Anglican Union for the Propagation of the Gospel. It offers a uniquely flexible path to an affordable, fully accredited theological education grounded in the Old and New Testaments, the Anglican tradition, and the faith that was once delivered to the saints.
Our program is built on the Celtic model established by St. Aidan of Lindisfarne, who blended practical evangelistic zeal with academic rigor to spread the Gospel in seventh-century England. Classes are accessible in a variety of formats, including online learning and intensive weekend sessions, allowing our students to remain engaged in local ministry while they study. This integration of rigorous theological education and concurrent service in ministry provides a practical and highly sustainable model for training church leaders in the 21st century.
At St. Aidan's, our goal is to inspire individuals to enrich the Church for the transformation of the world. Our students are immersed in the study of theology, ethics, philosophy, and spirituality, along with training in pastoral practice.
We welcome aspiring ordinands, clergy, and laypersons into our vibrant learning community. Our program leads to a certificate in Anglican studies; credits earned at St. Aidan's may be applied to the BA, MA, and Doctor of Ministry degrees offered at CTLT.
We invite you to explore St. Aidan's Institute and its potential to equip you in mission and ministry.
