AS150 Preliminaries: Anglican Union for the Propagation of the Gospel

This course is intended to provide the student with an understanding of the nature of ordained life as practiced in the Anglican Union for the Proclamation of the Gospel. It will carefully build an understanding of the sodality model and differentiate it from jurisdictional models of ecclesiastical polity. It will seek to draw a strong contrast between the self-centered approach of worldly professionalism and Christ-centered kenotic service. It will explain the roles and responsibilities of clergy operating in this organization. The course will also explain the demands of academic study relevant to the Anglican Studies program. It will teach standard academic practices consistent with graduate level work.

Students are expected to attend in person to participate in the unique dynamics of this course. Weekend intensive courses are conducted at Resurrection Oratory Parish 7509 Van Dyke Rd. Odessa, FL 33556. International students not resident in the USA may contact the registrar to make special arrangements.
